Magh-Saphtami  (popularly  known as Sahiban -Heinz  Satam ) is most auspicious to those who  who have really been blessed  to have some kind of a realisation about the Divine Status of the Divine Mother, Alakhishwari Shree Mata Roop Bhawani  as  goddess  SHARIKA-INCARNATE.
we generally celebrate  out of ecstacy & with  utmost reverence  the JYANTI (Avirbhav-divas ) of God's or their incarnates,Rishis &Munnis  & let the celebration &merry-making  sink deep into our skin mainly to  have a feel of their divine presence all round ;this kind of feeling lifts your spirits high ,pushing you into state of trance as Mira would be at the very thought of Lord Krishna.
However,Nirvan-divas  or Braham -leen  state  as in case of Alakhishwari Shree Mata Roop Bhawani  (ascension  to the original state ) is solemnised with the observance of fast, recitation of Shalokas, consigning to the flames of sacred fire amid the chanting of mantras(offering ahuti ) to invoke the blessings of God's &goddesses,& all deities  ,that have been witness to this auspicious  phenomenon. All this is done to mark total merger with the ABSOLUTE REALITY,Sadchidanand, the embodiment  of  Light  (Supreme Consciousness ) &Bliss.
This is more true of the Sharika-in-carnate  because SHE Was never in human form even detached from Lord Shiva  &  Her final merger  with Him was actually  an 'Act of Her real divine status' & this can be solemnised by mortals like with the way we do --'--,observing fast  to exercise restraint &refrain from evil deeds,to meditate on the chosen deity to invoking Her grace for the awakening of Kundalini  & progressive rise thereof ,& to condition our mind &body for total surrender.
So,Samadhi Divas or Anterdhan  state is solemnised  with pure mind &body to bow before the phenomenon of the elevated soul's  ultimate absorption. This is aimed at  elevating ourselves in the process.
