Energy wheels of our body or the Chakra System

Chakra is a word in hindi language meaning a wheel. Our human body has got several energy wheels running through our body. These energy wheels are called Chakras. They are stacked one upon another on a central axis, very similar to our back bone like structure. Each Chakra corresponds to one of our Endocrine Glands Each of the chakras controls specific organs and performs specific functions in your body, directly affecting your health and well-being.

There  are seven such chakras in our body located all along the spine and starting from our tail bone and ending at the top of our skull. The first chakra is  called the "Muldhara Chakra or The Root Chakra" and the last chakra is called the "Crown Chakra or Sahasrara Chakra".

Muladhara Chakra relates to legs, feet, lower back, bones and Kidneys. Imbalance or blockages in this energy wheel leads to diseases of above organs. Arthritis, knee pains and Spinal tension are some of the problems caused by imbalance in Muldhara Chakra.

Just slightly above the Root Chakra is the Second Chakra called Sacral Chakra or Swadhistan Chakra situated near the navel and controls the reproductive system, bladder and lower intestines. Imbalance or blockages in this energy wheel may cause negative emotions like jealousy and anger, bladder problems and other sexual problems.

Third energy chakra is called "Manipura Chakra" located at the upper stomach, at the Navel. Sometimes called the Navel Chakra.  It controls the stomach, liver  and gall badder  whereby it is related to the function of digestion. Imbalance or blockages in this energy wheel leads to digestive disorders, ulcers, diabetes etc

Fourth energy wheel is called the "Anahat Chakra or the Heart Chakra". It is situated in the middle of the chest. As the name and location suggests this Chakra controls the Heart and functions related to our Heart. Heart Problems, High Blood Pressure or emotional instability is caused when this chakra is not balanced.

Fifth Enery Chakra is called "Vishuddhi Chakra or the Throat Chakra"  This chakra relates to throat, mouth, neck, ears, lungs and shoulders. Imbalance or blockages in this energy wheel leads diseases related to throat and lungs. Ear problems are also caused by imbalance in Vishuddhi Chakra.

Sixth Chakra is a very important chakra also called as the "Gyan Chakra or the Third Eye" It is located in the middle of the forehead and is linked to the Pineal Gland. It controls the eyes, nose, nervous system and the lower brain.  If imbalanced it causes the individual to become cynical, fearful, have little focus or they lack concentration, develop headaches, eye problems or blindness and have vivid or unpleasant dreams.
Seventh Chakra is the "Crown Chakra or the Sahasrara Chakra"  it is situated at the top of the head and is linked to the Pituitary Gland and our Upper Brain. Secretions of the Pituitary are important for all other glands of our body which shows the significance of this chakra. A very well Balanced crown chakra symbolizes pure state of mind and body. Imbalance o this chakra may cause migraines, forgetfulness, confusion, depression and other psychotic disorders.
These seven Chakras for the Chakra system of our body. Asmentioned at the start theses chakras are energy fields and if all the seven Chakras are very well balanced, our human body will be without any diseases and we will be living a very well balanced life.
